Righty had a strong debut season, appearing in 19 games and making 10 starts, serving as the team's Sunday starter for much of the early season ... went 3-4 with a 6.27 ERA in 60 1/3 innings of work ... had a sparkling debut on the mound, going six innings and allowing just seven hits to lead the Hoosiers to a 7-5 win over San Diego (2/21) ... went 5 2/3 against Villanova (2/27), punching out three ... surrendered two runs against Illinois State (3/5) in his 5 1/3 innings of work ... went five innings vs. UMBC, striking out a career-high seven batters (3/19) ... against Saint Francis, threw seven strong innings, picking up his third career win (3/26) ... tossed a scoreless frame at Miami (4/20) ... came out of the pen to deliver 3 1/3 innings of hitless relief at Minnesota (4/24) to record his first career save ... tossed a shutout inning of relief against Illinois (5/20) ... went 2 2/3 innings against Minnesota in the Big Ten Tournament, allowing just two hits and one walk in keeping the Golden Gophers off the scoreboard.
PREP/PERSONAL:
Played high school baseball for Bob Rosinski at Glenbrook South ... as a senior, posted a 1.90 ERA striking out 80 batters in 50 innings ... also posted a .360 batting average with seven doubles, three triples and three home runs ... was named his team MVP for his performance ... picked up All-Conference and Central Suburban All-Star recognition ... played football for Glenbrook South as well, helping the team to an 8-1 record with the loss coming against the 8A state champions ... father, Matt, was a swimmer at IU under the legendary Doc Counsilman from 1982-85, and helped the Hoosiers' 400 free relay team to a 15th-place finish at NCAAs in 1983 ... intends to be an exploratory major at IU ... has two brothers, Sullivan and Fitzpatrick, and one sister, Challen ... parents are Matt and Challen Stadler, both of whom are IU grads ... born Jan. 28, 1991.
