Indiana Head Coach Tom Crean
Indiana vs. Bemidji State
Opening Statement:
"I tried to stress to our team the last few days that competition level goes up, it doesn't go down. Every game it is going to be more and more, where we are playing against very talented teams, very talented players. That was great learning lessons for a lot of people of club today to understand that."
On the impact off the bench:
"I thought Daniel Moore, Brett Finkelmeier, Malik Story all came in and were catalysts for what we were doing defensively. Tom Pritchard, we just have to get the ball to him and we are doing a good job of that. He'll continue to get better. We are seeing more improvement in him all the time."
On Kyle Taber back:
"Getting Kyle (Taber) in is certainly a help, because now you have a very, very smart well-school basketball player in there. It's great for him to get his legs under him."
"Kyle (Taber) knows how to win. He is a very smart player, and he is tough. After a few weeks, you will see him back to being a steady player."
On the team:
"We're not going to wins because we have a great offensive or tremendous one-on-one players. We are going to win the game on offensive with sharing the basketball."
"Tonight at the first TV timeout, you knew it was going to be a grinder. The only way we were going to get any separation in the gap was turn our pressure up defensively. Our bench guys came in and did that."
