Junior forward D.J. White led the Hoosiers to wins over Iowa and UConn last week.

BLOOMINGTON, Ind. - Junior forward D.J. White picked up another honor for his outstanding performance last week, as he was recognized by ESPN broadcaster Dick Vitale as Player of the Week on Dickie V's Weekly Awards list.

White, who also was named Big Ten Player of the Week, led the Hoosiers to back-to-back wins last week over Iowa and Connecticut.

White claims Athlete of the Week accolades after averaging a team-high 22 points, 7.5 rebounds and 2.5 blocks per game while leading the Hoosiers to victories over Iowa and Connecticut last week.

He opened the week notching his second straight double-double and tied career highs with 23 points and 12 rebounds against the Hawkeyes. He shot 10-of-13 from the field (.769) and was 3-of-5 from the free throw line (.600).

In the team's 77-73 victory at UConn, White registered his fifth 20-plus point performance of the season, scoring 21 while adding three blocks and three rebounds. White currently leads the team with 14.3 points and 7.3 rebounds per game.
