Soffner spent his final two seasons at SLUH after playing his freshman and sophomore years at St. Ignatius in Cleveland, Ohio ... helped lead the Wildcats to the 2005 Ohio state championship, as well as the NSCAA high school national title his sophomore season ... as a senior at SLUH, Soffner posted 18 shutouts in 23 matches with a 0.32 goals-against average as the Junior Billikens were the 2007 Missouri state runner up ... for his efforts he was named to the St. Louis All-Metro first team and all-state team ... high school teammate of fellow Hoosiers Tommy Meyer and Chris Haffner ... from 1999-2005, Soffner played his club ball with the Internationals in Cleveland, leading the team to Ohio state titles from 2001-05 ... as a member of the North American All-Stars he competed at the Youth World Cup in 2000 and 2001 ... after moving to Missouri he joined the Scott-Gallagher Soccer Club with the team capturing Missouri state championships in 2006 and 2007 ... his grandfather, Jim Scott, was one of the founders of the Scott-Gallagher Soccer Club ...also a standout in the classroom, earning first honors all four years of high school ... secondary education (math) major ... born Jan. 15, 1990 ... son of Julie and Rodney Soffner.
