Go Hoosiers!

BLOOMINGTON, Ind. - At least three Indiana University men's soccer matches will be broadcast live on the Big Ten Network this fall, it was announced today. In all a total of 10 Big Ten men's soccer regular-season matches will be broadcast on the Network.

All three of IU's currently scheduled appearances will come on Jerry Yeagley Field at Bill Armstrong Stadium. The first matchup is Sunday, Oct. 3 when the Hoosiers play host to the Wisconsin Badgers. It will be a homecoming for UW head coach John Trask, who both played and coached at IU, as well as assistant coach Phil Presser, another former Hoosier player and coach. The match, which was originally scheduled for 1 p.m. ET will now take place at 5 p.m. ET in order to accommodate a live broadcast. Indiana is 17-0-1 in its last 18 meetings with the Badgers, including a pair of wins in 2009.

Indiana will square off against Michigan on Saturday, Oct. 16 at 8 p.m. ET in a live broadcast. That is a half hour later than the originally scheduled time of 7:30 p.m. ET. This rivalry has heated up over the last several years, with IU taking a 1-0 win over the Wolverines last year in Ann Arbor in a match broadcast on the Big Ten Network. The teams also met in the 2008 Big Ten Tournament and 2008 NCAA Tournament, both victories for IU. The match coincides with IU's homecoming celebration, including the football game with Arkansas State at noon ET.

The Hoosiers wrap up their regular season home schedule on Sunday, Oct. 31, with a game against the Northwestern Wildcats at 5 p.m. ET. That game was also moved from its originally scheduled time of 1 p.m. to accommodate a live broadcast on the Big Ten Network. Indiana is 23-2-1 all time against the Wildcats and is looking to avenge last year's loss in Evanston.

In addition, the Big Ten Network will select one game as a wild card broadcast in the final week of the season. In order to increase chances of having the game selected for telecast, the Indiana match at Ohio State has been moved to Sunday, Nov. 7, from its originally scheduled date of Saturday, Nov. 6. Game time is still to be determined.

Indiana is entering its first season under the direction of head coach Todd Yeagley, a former Hoosier All-American. The season officially kicks off on Sept. 3 when IU plays host to California at 7:30 p.m. ET as part of the adidas/IU Credit Union Classic.

Indiana, Northwestern, Ohio State and Wisconsin have the most Big Ten Network appearances this season with three each. Michigan State, Penn State and Michigan will make two appearances each. In addition to the regular season matches, the Big Ten Network will also televise the semifinal and championship matches of the 2010 Big Ten Tournament, Nov. 11-14 at Penn State.

Since the Network's inception in 2007, the Hoosiers have made a total of 17 television appearances and are 8-5-4 in those matches. Indiana was part of the first-ever men's soccer broadcast on the BTN, a 1-0 win over UCLA on Sept. 2, 2007.
