Wil Fleming enters his first year as an interim assistant coach at Indiana after five successful seasons as a Hoosier thrower.
A two-time NCAA Regional qualifier, Fleming made his mark in both the indoor and outdoor IU record books, ranking second all-time in the 35-lb. weight throw (20.12m/66-0.25, 2005) and in the hammer throw (65.77m/215-9.00, 2006).
The Bloomington, Ind., native earned his first bid to the NCAA Outdoor Championships during the 2006 season and placed 11th with a mark of 62.94m (206-06.00).
Fleming was an All-American at Bloomington North High School where he earned a pair of state titles in the shot put.
