Carrie Lingo enters her second season as the volunteer assistant coach at Indiana. Since 1998, Lingo has been a part of USA Field Hockey and has been a member of the national team since 2001 and enters the 2010 season as the team's captain. She owns 183 international caps and has been involved in six top two USA finishes at major international competitions.

Collegiately, Lingo played at North Carolina where she was a two-time All-ACC honoree and was on a UNC squad that was the 2000 NCAA runner-up. She was an NFHCA All-South Region second team honoree in 1999 and 2000, and earned first team honors in 2001, as well as NCAA All-Tournament team accolades. She graduated from UNC in 2002 with a degree in communications and psychology.

A native of Rehoboth, Del., Lingo was the 1997 Cape Henlopen Female Athlete of the Year and earned all-state and all-conference honors in high school.
