BLOOMINGTON, Ind. - After logging a 2-1 win over Northwestern on Sunday, the Indiana Hoosier field hockey team earned the sixth seed in the Big Ten Tournament hosted by Ohio State University starting on Thursday, Nov. 1. The Hoosiers will take on the third seed Iowa Hawkeyes at 2 p.m. on Thursday, the last game of the day.

Indiana traveled to Iowa earlier this year and came up on the short end of a 2-1 decision in overtime. The Hawkeyes drew first blood in the game, but Indiana freshman forward Katie Griswold tied the game at 1-1 shortly after halftime. Iowa's Lauren Pfeiffer put home the game-winner in the ninth minute of overtime to get the win. Haley Exner made nine saves in goal for the Hoosiers in the game, a season-high at the time.

Iowa holds a 6-2 lead in the all-time series between the two schools with Indiana's most recent win in the series coming last year at home.
