On Monday, Loukas, who is redshirting this season to focus on training for the 2008 Olympic Trials, competed in the 3-meter individual and 3-meter synchronized events. Competing with two dive lists, Loukas finished third in the list 1 competition with a score of 321.35. With list 2, Loukas was fifth, totaling 336.50 points. Teaming up with Miller in the synchronized event, the duo finished fourth in the list 1 (276.60) and list 2 (279.60) sets.
Also competing at the training camp is IU alum Cassandra Cardinell. On Tuesday Cardinell went through two lists off the platform, placing second on the first list (370.90) and second with list two (325.65). She will go through two more lists on Thursday.
It should be noted that the scores reflect only results from events occurring during the camp, and are not the only criteria used to select the actual team members. Other criteria which will factor into the selection of the World Cup team include past performances at international events, degree of difficulty in the dive list, as well as others. Team selection will be made on or before January 28.
