JUNIOR YEAR (2004)
Played in 23 matches and 54 games...compiled a .240 hitting percentage...posted career highs in kills (12), attempts (19), hitting percentage (.333), service aces (2), digs (10) and total blocks (6) in her initial campaign as a Hoosier...nearly had a double-double against Michigan (10/2) with 12 kills and nine digs...earned Academic All-Big Ten recognition...also captured Alpha Beta honors for work in the classroom.
GOLDEN WEST JC
Gerling comes to IU after two seasons at Golden West Junior College in Huntington Beach, Calif...led her team to a perfect 22-0 record and a state championship in 2003.
PREP
Soccer, swimming and track and field standout in addition to volleyball...named the Orange Lutheran Athlete of the Year in 2002 as well as the 2002 Female Scholar Athlete of the Year...All-CIF Soccer MVP in 2002 and team MVP in 2001 and 2002...earned All-CIF honors three straight years for soccer and track.
