BLOOMINGTON, Ind. - The Indiana University volleyball team (3-1) suffered their first loss of the season early Friday afternoon, dropping a five-setter to UT Martin (4-1). The Hoosiers play again tonight when they take on #18 Kentucky at 7 PM inside University Gym. The set scores were 14-25, 23-25, 25-19, 25-23, 15-12.

Senior Whitney Thomas was one of four Hoosiers to record double-digit kills in the contest, leading the team with 14 put-aways. Jordan Haverly, Taylor Wittmer and Kelci Marschall joined Thomas with 13, 11 and 10 kills, respectively.

Wittmer was a beast on the defensive side of the net, racking up 10 blocks, including two of the solo variety. As a team, Indiana controlled the frontcourt throughout the match, totaling 14.5 team blocks. Marschall contributed on both sides, recording the first double-double of her career with 12 digs to go along with her 10 kills.
