Hoosiers Down Terrapins, 11-7 to Sweep First Day of Princeton Invitational

PRINCETON, N.J. - In their second game of the day, Indiana (5-5) trailed Maryland by one after the first quarter but came on strong in the two middle periods, outscoring the Terrapins 8-3 to take a 9-5 lead going into the final stanza.
In the fourth quarter, IU scored two more goals to finish with 11 to just seven for Maryland. In that scoring outburst in the third, Nicole Redder recorded a hat trick in the final two minutes alone to put the game out of reach.
Redder's hat trick was matched by Kelsey Campbell while Maggie Hannon scored twice and Brittany Estrada, Amy Moore and Nicole Sands each posted one goal.
The Hoosiers return to the pool in Princeton on Sunday at 9:10 a.m. against San Diego State, followed by a tangle with Bucknell at 1:50 p.m.
