BLOOMINGTON, Ind. - The Indiana women's water polo team brought the Fluid Five tournament at the Councilman Billingsley Aquatic Center to a close on Sunday against No. 19 Santa Clara. The Broncos took an early 3-1 lead and were able to keep the 17th ranked Hoosiers at bay the remainder of the game to escape with a 6-4 win.

Senior Brooke Zimmerman, playing in her final home game as a Hoosier, answered the Broncos first goal of the game with one of her own on a penalty shot to knot the score at 1-1 less than two minutes into the game.

Santa Clara (14-7) would score the next three goals to take a 4-1 lead before Zimmerman struck twice in just over a minute during the second period to send the Hoosiers to the locker room trailing by one.

Nicole Redder's goal with 5:20 remaining in the third brought IU to within one again at 5-4 after Santa Clara got a tally 15 seconds into the period. But the Bronco defense tightened up in the fourth quarter and kept Indiana off the board to get the win.

The trio of goals by Zimmerman marked the eighth time this season the native of Calgary, Alberta, Canada has recorded at least three goals in a game. She now has 54 goals on the year and 183 in her career.

Indiana will travel to the state of Pennsylvania this weekend to take on the other six members of the CWPA Western Division, starting with Gannon at 7 p.m. on Friday.
