GROVE CITY, Pa. - The second-seeded Indiana women's water polo team entered Saturday night's CWPA Western Division Championship match looking to even the score against the top-seeded Michigan Wolverines. But it was Michigan that came out strong and claimed an 11-3 win to take the title.
The high-powered Indiana offense that had scored 127 goals in its last eight games was held to just single tallied by Lauren Wyckoff, Kelsey Campbell and Brooke Zimmerman.
Zimmerman also had the only assist in the match for Indiana while Amy Moore led the Hoosiers with four steals.
The Hoosiers have qualified for next weekend's CWPA Eastern Championships in Ann Arbor, Mich., and are still waiting to find out who their opponent will be.
